Mini-Vacation

We took a mini-vacation this weekend! We left Saturday morning and headed to the Clay County Fair in Spencer, Iowa. We met up with my parents and enjoyed about four hours at the fair. Pearl had a blast on the rides and seeing the animals. Her favorite ride was the EuroBungy! I'll try to post a picture later today. We spent the night in Okoboji and went swimming and dined on the lake (the restaurant was full, so we had to sit outside on the deck!). It was a great little getaway, and it was nice to see my mom and dad. It was a little sad to come home and back to real life, but I guess that's how it goes. Afterall, I had to work last night, and Pearl had school this morning.
