A Few Pics from Last Week

The babies or tots or Macey and Miles ... are now 16 months old and exhausting me! About a month ago I saw someone at Wal-Mart with 8 month old twins. She asked if it got easier. I couldn't lie ... so I just said, "It's different." I'm not sure. I told Gavin I think last year at this time was easier ... they slept through the night, only "ate" bottles, and they stayed where I put them! Oh well. Life with two toddlers keep me on my toes. They have pretty much stopped sleeping in the morning, but I keep putting in their cribs for 45 minutes or so to give me a little break and them some quiet time in the morning. (Okay, that's more for me than them, but my sanity helps all of us!) On the upside, they've been taking 2.5 to 3 hour naps in the afternoon.

Miles talks all the time, and I'm sure is frustrated, as we have no idea what he is saying, except for "sock, mom, dad" and a few other random words. Macey has become an expert at signing "eat" when she is hungry and says, "mommy, daddy, hi, yeah, owie" and a few other words. They are funny when they aren't being told "no, don't touch _____" for the tenth time in the hour!

The Go Fish Guys. Pearl and I went to their Christmas concert last Thursday. It was the second time this year we've seen them. She had fun, but got tired toward the end. She was too excited to eat her food when we went out to dinner, so she was hungry, too! Tired and hungry ... always a good combination! :-)

Today, is Pearl's last day of school for the year. They are having their Christmas party and gift exchange. I can't wait to hear about it. However, I'm not looking forward to going back out in the cold. This morning, it was -11 with a winchill of -40!! Right now, at 10:45 a.m., it is -8 with a windchill of -32. That's cold!!
