Secret's Out!

Okay, so I showed Gavin the secret, and he liked it!! :-)

Here's what our bed looked like before.  Now, please don't misunderstand, I really like the brown, especially in the fall, but I just really felt like we needed something new for color.  It will be nice to have a couple of choices now.

 

As you can see, there is a red wall in our bedroom.  That was taken into consideration when making the following purchases, as the brown above it what I "redid" our bedroom with in September 2006, and it just moved with us.  Oh, as I type that, I'm beginning to understand why I was ready for a change.  :-)

And now, for the "little splash of color:"

The quilt and shams (Target), and sheets and extra pillowcases (Kohls) are all new .  The green blanket we had, but I thought it helped.  Gavin wasn't so sure about the green, but otherwise really liked it.  It's a departure from the brown, and prior to that we had a navy comforter.  It's a fresh look!  (And there is red in the colorful pillow cases to tie into the wall color!)
