The Last Week

No, school isn't getting out super early for us.  This week marks the end of evening activities for Miss Pearl (and so for us for the most part) for a bit.

Swimming
After four sessions of swimming lessons, we decided she progressed far enough for the year and are confident that she'll do great in the water this summer.  This freed up our Monday nights at the beginning of the month.

Church: Kids Blast
Since September, Pearl's been attending Kid's Blast on Wednesday nights at church.  She and Gavin read through the entire kid's Bible we used, and she memorized 26 verses.  Woo-hoo!  This Wednesday night is the big finale with trophies and ice cream.  Gotta love that!

Taekwondo
She started taekwondo a couple of weeks after turning four, and she has been at it ever since with very little time off.  On Friday, she will test for her brown belt.  We are super proud of her, but I think we are all ready for a break.  She's planning to take the summer off and head back in the fall. (This frees up Tuesday and Thursday nights.)

So, what's in store for May?  Nada!  Yep, we plan to kick back and enjoy a little down time.  In June, she'll start gymnastics one night a week.  She's looking forward to that.  She will also get to go to camp (July), spend a week with my parents (June), and possibly some one-on-two time with her parents (shh ... it's a surprise!)

Until next time,
