Bad Blogger

It's not that we haven't been busy ... I just haven't found time to sit down and write about it.  It's amazing how fast life goes by when are busy every night.  Yes, we allowed it to happen, and yes, the kids are enjoying themselves.  (And yes, we still do eat together most nights of the week, just a little later than before.)  In fact, one child could be busier, but we think the break is good for her too!

Macey had the opportunity to start cheer at the end of last year.  She had her first cheer competition last weekend (also danced two routines), and we head to Omaha this next weekend for Cheer.  After that, we have two or three more competitions left for the year and a recital in May.  She enjoys the competition, and can't wait to compete in gymnastics (still a good 18 months out at a minimum).

Pearl's been busy with school, sleepovers and science!  This is her science fair exhibit.  She did a great job.  She also recently added taekwondo and gymnastics to her weekly activities.  She seems to be enjoying them.  We're also pushing her a little harder with her piano lessons, and she seems to be "complaining" less.  Who knew?

And last, but no least, is my little guy!  Miles really enjoys taekwondo every week.  But mostly he is happy playing with his Transformers, trucks, light sabers and other little guy stuff.   He does great with waiting for his sisters to complete their activities.  He also likes to let me know that I should work more so I can buy him more stuff.  Yep, the kid's love language is gifts ... just like his mom's.

As for the grown-ups ... we keep busy running the aforementioned Wigglets around (and with work and school and church).  Thankfully, outside of piano lessons, all the activities take place at one location.  We really like our home away from home and have enjoyed making new friends who we get to see each week!

Until next time,
