After putting ribs in the crock-pot, we did school work. The little kids did worksheets and worked on their cutting skills while Pearl wrote her spelling words three times each and a sentence for each word. She then played at fun4thebrain.com working on math skills. (There we learned there was an app for the android; Daddy must be informed.) She also did her 20 minutes of reading.
We then had some lunch ... nothing too exciting. Then, we all rested while watching Wall-E. It is such a cute movie. After snacks, the kids cleaned up the living room, and Pearl practiced her piano and did some more reading, this time to her siblings. Macey and Miles worked on their puzzles some more (12 piece wooden puzzles I picked up at Wal-Mart on Tuesday), and everyone played with the Perplexus puzzles. We have three of them. Macey really likes the junior one. All of us like playing them. They are great for eye-hand coordination! They also decided to play Rock Band for a bit.
Supper was amazing! I would like to take some credit for it, but really the crock-pot did most of the work. We had dry-rub ribs, kale chips, sugar-free jello, celery and peppers. It was a great low-carb meal!
We ate early, so while I was cleaning up, the kids made Lego creations. They all did a good job.
Macey's House
Pearl's Little Town
Miles' House
Vampire teeth were the prizes!
They are now coloring at the kitchen table, while I am typing this. I would like to add some pictures, but that really does require me to switch computers, so I'm thinking text will have to do for now, unless the kids are going to keep coloring for a bit ...
Until next time,

P.S. If you were wondering why this was atypical: the little kids usually have preschool all day on Wednesdays, and we have swimming lessons at 6 p.m. Being home with all three kids all day was a bit odd.

Um, why do my days with my three kids at home not go anything like this? Where is the fighting? The whining? The not-wanting-to-pick-up?? :) Sounds like you had a wonderful day! :)
