The title sounds a little dramatic, but it's true. We were pretty much snowed-in on Saturday and had been home all day on Friday with Miss Pearl, who was running a slight temp. Despite all this, we enjoyed all our family time! Friday, I ran to school during lunch to turn in a few things for Pearl, got her make up work, and by 1:30, she had completed her homework for last week and her make up work. So much for that taking up much time!!
Yes, this is a face of a sick child!
Anyway, because she wasn't "feeling" sick, and was basically just annoyed with us for making her stay home (and miss piano on Thursday), and because it was Friday, we let our "you're-sick-stay-in-your-bed" rule slide.
Saturday was a "jammie" day, and we dined and played in our jammies. I made biscuits, sausage, gravy and eggs for breakfast, and we had "seek and destroy" for lunch.
Miles destroyed himself a plate of noodles!
The rest of the day ... we played!
Macey played dress up.
While Miles worked with his tools.
The Wigg Girls were cute, as always.
Gavin and Pearl get a little crazy watching all that snow.
And, the three of them tried to rescue me!!
We ended the night with cheese, crackers, sausage and apples while enjoying our annual viewing of The Polar Express. It was a great day!!
