Weekend in Kansas City

WARNING:  Lots of photos of cute little kids to follow!  (And some of them don't even belong to me!)

We got to Kansas City in time to meet Auntie E's kindergartners on Friday, and Pearl read them a story!

Pearl read "Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear?"
There were quite a few "new" words, but she did a great job reading.

When we got to Auntie E's house, Nic and D quickly joined in all the fun.

I'm not really sure what was going on here.
My camera got hijacked during bed time!

On Saturday, we started our day at Uncle D's football game.
He's the offensive coach for one of the KCK junior highs.

Miss Macey.

Coach D hard at work!

Our next stop, and the whole reason we were in KC:
The Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk.
Here's Pearl and Nic (and Macey).

The favorite attraction:  Riding Horses!!
Miles wasn't so sure about it, but he did great with help from Pearl.

Apparently Macey thinks she's a jockey.

Nic on the horse.  He loved it!

Last week Gavin was craving Krispy Kreme's.
Here's Miles and Macey enjoying some on his behalf.
Auntie E, Mommy, Nic, Pearl, Macey and Miles.

And, now for the main attraction:  LC and Baby Jace
(Sorry Jace, that's just how my Twiggs refer to you.)
Apparently Pearl thought Macey was funnier than LC did.

Isn't she just the cutest?
But be warned:  Her little brother is a big ball of cute, too!

Here Jace is attempting to eat part of LC's tutu!
Aren't little brothers great?

Macey was absolutely thrilled to meet her favorite computer friends,
and spent about half of the walk by Miss LC's side.
We loved getting to meet our friends, and hope to get to visit them again.

(And LC, if you read this, do tell your daddy that meeting you, your brother and your mommy was the main reason we traveled to KC for the weekend.  We had so much fun.  Please thank your parents, again!)

Saturday night, we got to hang out with my college roomy and her husband.  It was so much fun!  She's expecting her first baby in January, so we may just have to plan another trip South to see this new baby after the first of the year!

On Sunday, we were woken up to Macey's naughtiness.  We then went to church and out to eat before heading North.  Thanks to my sis and her family for putting up with all of us for the weekend.  We had a blast!

The newlyweds:  Mr. and Mrs. Brooks!

 Macey and Miles

The Wigglets ... playing outside at a rest stop.

It was a great weekend, despite having to leave our main guy at home.  The weather was beautiful, and the kids did great for the most part.  We got to see friends and hang out with family.  What more could a girl want?  I am blessed!

Until next time,

Thanks for stopping by my place and for your what ifs! You have adorable kids! It was fun to see pics of your sis too. I couldn't help think of the days back in the day at CC Presbyterian Church and seeing you there. Sounds like all is well with the Wiggs :o)
