Arm update

Yesterday was our follow-up visit with the pediatrician.  She found Pearl's arm to be swollen a bit, but didn't see anything in the x-ray to indicate a fracture.  She did, however, recommend a little ibuprofen therapy in an attempt to restore full range of motion.  She said she would wait to hear from radiology, then check with ortho for next step.  She called today, and the ortho doc wants her wearing her sling until they see her next week.  They are concerned about a tiny fracture that is hiding from the x-ray machine.  I'm pretty sure if Pearl would have been at the office at the time of this pediatrician/ortho consult, Pearl would be in a cast, but as we were home and playing in the back yard, the sling will work.  Makes sense to me! :-)  Oh well.  Maybe we'll know something more next week!
