Pearl had a taekwondo tournament today. It was a local one, and she did great! She received a trophy and had a blast. However, we forgot our camera. We'll try to remember it when she tests for her purple belt this upcoming Friday. After the tourney, we headed out for haircuts and some school clothes shopping. We went to Target, and she got three dresses, two shirts, two skorts and four pairs of leggings. (The leggings are necessary in order for her to be able to wear many of the dresses in her closet!)
Macey has been feeling much better. It's amazing what a little antibiotics will do. (We won't mention the side effects.) She seems to be back to herself.
Last night we hired our first babysitter. We are usually fortunate to be able to have Gramma Barb and Grandpa Kent watch the kids, but decided to ask a college student we met at church. She works in our nursery at church, so the kids all know her. Miles acted like a little school girl with a crush when she got here. It was absolutely hysterical. He was playing peek-a-boo, dancing around and had a silly grin on his face. A boy after his Daddy's heart ... quite the little ladies man!And speaking of our babysitter ... all the kids did great! I even found the twins fast asleep without their snuggli's. Obviously she has magical powers! :-)
Thursday night, Gavin decided that I needed to clean my office. He took drastic measures to make sure I stayed in my office. (Okay, so I could have left, but how would I have put that back together?) I did get the floor picked up. There is still a lot to go through in here, but I'm making progress.Until next time,
