Someone Turned 8!

That's right folks, we have an 8-year-old in the house!

For about a year-and-a-half, Pearl has wanted nothing more than to go to the American Girl store and get an American Girl doll for her 8th birthday.  We planned a trip and made it happen.  The girl was beyond excited.  Part of the reason for the excitement:  She was able to get two dolls.  She saved her Christmas money, took a few dollars out of savings and was blessed with some cash for birthday gifts.  She had a blast getting to pick out exactly what she wanted plus a few extra things.  We also had a birthday celebration in the bistro for lunch! Grammy, Macey, Pearl and I had so much fun, and the customer service was outstanding!

Of course, we also rode the rides.  My daughter is a thrill-seeker!  We finished up the night with supper at the Rainforest Cafe and a quick swim.  We all agreed that it would be hard to top this birthday, and it would be one she would remember forever!  Happy Birthday, Miss Pearl!
