I Shopped; I Survived

It's true ... I ventured out alone for the first time ever for the Black Friday craziness.  My first stop was a frappe at a local coffee place that was kind enough to be open at 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving.  Then on to Wal-Mart.  I was there for about four hours, but walked away with everything on my wish list.  While it was admittedly a little crazy, kindness was shown by fellow shoppers, the Wal-Mart employees were on top of their game, and it was a good experience.

Next up:  Kohl's ... line was crazy and I didn't see what I was looking for, so I moved on to ShopKo.  I got what I wanted there fairly quickly and then waited in line for at least an hour!!  Oh well.  I read about 4 or 5 chapters in my book and while I waited, crowds subsided around the city.  On my way back to Kohl's I made a quick stop at Best Buy.  Back at Kohl's I found a few things I wanted, checked out and was pulling into the Sam's Club parking lot as they opened the doors at 5 a.m. this morning.  Got my few items (and a little breakfast) there and headed home.

Total time out last night:  9 hours
Overall experience:  Fun, but better with my mom and/or sister!
Lesson learned:  Where more comfortable shoes!!

Until next time,
