Conferences

We have made it through our first grade-school conferences. Not that we were worried about anything, as we are there every week, but it's nice to hear it and for Pearl to hear it. Pearl attended the conference with us, as they are "student-led" conferences. When we pulled up to the school, Pearl said, "Who's nervous? I am." Silly girl. She's doing great. She read to us and showed us some of her work. She's reading at grade level (where they want them by the end of the year) at this point in time, so I'm curious where she'll be at the end of the school year.

In other Pearl news: They wrote about feelings yesterday at school. They had to write "I am happy when ..." and "I am sad when ..." Pearl wrote, "I am happy when I get to draw." (So true! She's been working on a picture for a couple of days now.) "I am sad when I miss school." Yea! I managed to make staying home from school for a week not so much fun!

Until next time,

Good job Pearl! I am looking forward to conferences next week, even if it is just Pre-K. It's always fun to hear what the teacher has to say. Plus I'm just happy to be on the opposite side. :)
