Miles: He is loving school. He'd go all day if he could and be happy. He is continuing taekwondo at the gym and had recently added a gymnastics class. (He got three skills for his chart today!) Miles is also playing soccer one night of week. Outside of that, the kid still enjoys playing with his Transformers and Legos and using his imagination. He's also a part-time alien or something like that (see below). Up next for Miles is an appointment with a pediatric ophthalmologist to check out his lazy eye. Oh, and a Mommy/Son date to Cracker Barrel, "because that's where we always go, Mom." Gotta love him!!
Macey: She loves being at the gym! She is in dance, cheer and the pre-team for gymnastics. She also takes one other class there and wants to go for mom and tot time twice a week. The girl could live there. She's gearing up for a dance solo, cheer solo and dance duet, along with her team routines when competition season starts in November. It should be fun! As for school, she still doesn't want to go most days, okay all days. But, she's good while she's there and likes it; she'd just rather be, well, anywhere that didn't require her to sit and think! She joined the ranks of glasses-wearing Wiggs this fall, and has done a great job with them. She keeps us on our toes and is full of life. Love my Macey!!
Pearl: Third grade and Pearl seem to be getting along. :-) I was able to go a field trip with her class a few weeks ago and had a great time. She is still a big fan of Percy Jackson and is currently reading the first book in the Last Olympians series. She is also on dance and cheer teams this year, and she is enjoying them both, but especially dance. Pearl is participating in Girls on the Run this fall at school and is really having fun. She is continuing piano this year, with a little more structure on practice times and that seems to be helping. Pearl is looking forward to some acting classes this fall and hanging out with her friends! Love, love our sweet Pearl.
As for me, I am enjoying having my parents in town and am getting used to this new fall schedule. I am also training for a 5K in November, attempting to eat better and still not catching up on laundry. I am a new aunt to my sister's new little guy, Damian, and I can't wait to meet him. So far, we've only been able to Skype. Love technology, but I want to hold that little guy!!
Gavin's in the middle of his busy time of year, so we enjoy spending time with him when we can. Thankfully, I still get to have coffee with him most days. What a great way to start my day ... with the guy I love most!!
Until next time,
