Weekend Fun

We just got back from a long weekend in Iowa.  We had so much fun seeing our friends and family.   The only little bit of sadness:  my Miles is still in Iowa.  Now don't get me wrong ... this was a planned, Miles couldn't get us out of my parents house, stay for Miles, but there definitely is a different vibe at the house this evening.  Macey and Pearl made him "miss you" cards tonight, and Macey wanted her roomie at bedtime.  At last check, Miles was not missing the girls!  We all have a busy week planned, so his time away will go fast, I'm sure.  


Anyway, on to the weekend fun.  We were super excited to get to spend some time with our friends, the Reilands.  We went to the zoo on Thursday night with them, and then they hosted a few other families on Friday night for supper.  It was so much fun to see our friends.  I still can't believe it's been almost seven years since we left Des Moines.  Well, enough chit chat ... on to the good stuff:  pictures.

After a few days in Des Moines, we headed to my parent's home and hung out there for a bit, before coming home, minus our Miles.  I hope you had a great weekend, too!
