The girls both had rough nights and again woke up with low-grade fevers. In light of the night and the fevers, I packed them up and headed to acute care. Two nurses (one student), two blood draws, two x-rays and one PA later, the diagnosis was: pneumonia. Both. Of. Them. Yuck! Poor Macey, who is not allergic to most antibiotics, got two shots of a painful antibiotic that I can't spell. She cried for about 15 minutes. Both are on a liquid z-pack, and both get to go see their pediatricians on Monday. Good thing there is no school!
Anyway, yesterday afternoon, the girls both perked up a bit, so we did homework/school work. Isn't that nice of me? Friday afternoon at 4 p.m., and I'm having the kids do school work. Oh well.
We're still unsure of our plans tomorrow. Here's what I know. Despite any fevers, I will see my husband play trumpet at church tomorrow. I really don't care if we stand in the back for the music and then duck out and head home; I will see him play.
Here are a few pictures from our school work time. I'm going to update my One-Year Goal blog shortly with my project from yesterday. Be sure to check it out!!
Until next time,
