On Saturday, Gavin had a gig at the Augie Season Opener. DNR played at the tailgate party for Vikingland and for the half-time show. Pearl enjoyed playing games at Vikingland, and her, Gavin and I are planning to return to watch a football game there sometime this season. We watched the new stadium being built, and Pearl wants to go see it up close and in person!

Saturday night we had Barb and Kent over for supper and to watch a movie. We watched City of Ember. We would highly recommend it.
Sunday we just hung out for most of the day. Miles was running a slight temperature Saturday afternoon into the night, and we thought it would be better to not infect anyone else. Sunday, he was fine!! We went out to eat twice on Sunday ... BBQ from Hy-Vee for lunch and IHOP for supper. (IHOP because my suggestion of making sammies for supper was not met with welcomed enthusiasm.)
Monday was another relaxed day. Gavin and Pearl made breakfast, we watched the videos from when the kids were born, took naps and ended our long weekend with a quick trip to Wal-Mart.

Sounds a lot like our weekend (minus the fever and minus the in-laws coming over). We did a lot of fun things, at out a couple times, and didn't get a whole lot accomplished, but that's okay, it was worth it! :)
