"Bruiser"The kids have been a little under the weather with a summer cold. On Saturday, we decided to just take it easy and stay home. While outside playing, Macey fell and bonked her head on the small little amount of cement we have in our backyard. Thankfully, no permanent damage done! :-) That night, I gave the kids a bath, and we headed downstairs for a little "Good Night Show." I'm not sure how exactly, but Miles fell off the last step and his left eye landed on his left hand resulting in a black eye. Nice!
"Pinkie"On Sunday, we noticed Macey's left eye was a little blood shot and red. It wasn't any better yesterday, so I called the doctor's. We are headed to the doctor's this afternoon at 2:30 p.m. Yep, that's right in the middle of nap time! The nurse I talked to didn't seem to understand that my concern was possible pink eye for Macey, not her cold. (Look for a future post on our family's doctors soon!)
As for my Pearl, she's bored beyond belief these past few days with us just taking it easy. The poor girl needs to get out of the house. Her attitude has taken a complete nose dive, with the winner being her voiced opinion that I am not the boss! Needless to say, that did not go over well! Thankfully, her cold seems to be a run-of-the-mill cold, and for the most part she's feeling pretty good. We did go school supply shopping last week, and we enjoyed that. We still need to go get some clothes for school, but I think we have most of her supplies!
